2023 Community Impact Report

The Colorado Oil & Gas Association is proud to release our latest Community Impact data, which highlights the oil and natural gas industry’s commitment to our community and our leadership as civic-minded partners.

COGA members and thousands of oil and gas employees work tirelessly every day to provide homegrown, clean energy that fuels our Colorado economy and sustains the daily lives of our neighbors.  Yet our oil and gas industry goes much farther than that and embraces its role as a critical philanthropic partner.  In 2023 alone, our members donated over $16 million to Colorado nonprofits, bringing our seven-year total to over $86 million invested directly in our community.

At COGA, our shared pledge is to produce the energy the world needs, protect the environment, and actively strengthen our communities, which includes increasing our understanding and support of marginalized communities as an essential tool to drive innovation, ideas, safety, personal belonging, and the competitive advantages that are needed for the success and future growth of our industry. This commitment and our ongoing philanthropic investments are pivotal in ensuring the communities where we live and work remain strong. In 2023, 76% of surveyed companies strategically invested in disproportionately impacted communities, and 68% contributed to nonprofits serving vulnerable populations.
